Tips for Effective Gardening- The Soil That Must Be Used

Gardening has always been leisure pursuit to many, since time immemorial. However, this involves thorough and careful planning and preparation. Moving on, not all soils are suitable for planting. Common soils include sand, loam, loam clay and clay. It is best to analyze the particular soil pH and acidity requirement of a plant before selecting a soil garden to apply. This is crucial for the plant’s survival and etc.

Choosing the most appropriate type of soil is only half the battle when it comes to effective planting, as it there are other factors that must be considered. Make sure that the plants are exposed to direct sunlight for at least 6 t0 8 hours daily. Moreover, water the plants regularly and as much as possible, apply fertilizers to boost the plant’s growth.

Tips in Planting a Tomato

If you would like to have a tomato garden, following these simple tips will prove to be helpful for you. Tomato planting is very easy and very rewarding too.

Tomatoes can be planted from seed. You can buy tomato seeds on hardware or plant stores. You can also plant  the seeds from the tomatoes you used. Tomato seedlings can also be bought at plant nurseries, but where’s the fun in that?

Give the seedling room for them to grow. Planting them close with each other will slow down its growth. To start, buy a seedling mat or small pots then plant with a ratio of one seed to one pot.

Seedlings need plants of light. Place the tomato plants in the sun. Make sure you plant them in the sunniest part of your plot. Tomatoes love heat. Make sure you cover the plot with black plastic for 2 weeks before you plant them.  When planting a tomato, you need to bury them deeper all the way to a few top leaves. They will be able to develop strong roots.

The Joy Of Harvesting

As my plants grow and begin to yield I am filled with joy. Each fruit I harvest gives me an exceptional feeling, the happiness and joy every harvest brings is unique. A fulfilling moment as I see every fruit it yields… I am so happy to finally see my red chili pepper plant yielded and while harvesting I saw a kid in his knee scooter thinking I won’t let my kid do that for now. But that won’t disappoint me, I continued my harvesting. I will post that soon.

Calamansi Seedlings

Calamansi is a fruit tree that is native to the Philippines. The fruit is round and small, it is color green and turns yellow when ripe. The fruit is usually used for dipping. The taste of the fruit is acidic.

Calamansi, I discovered is not really easy to cultivate. It takes time before it grows. In fact the photo above was a month old calamansi seedling (or older) and as you can see, the seedling is hasn’t grown any bigger yet.

I think I will have to graft it when it grows so it will bear fruit sooner.
