Practical Tips On Electric Fan Cleaning

Electrical appliances function at their best when they are clean. Not only they function well, they also help us save electricity which can translate to monetary savings.

Cleaning your electric fan will also save you and your family’s health. Overtime, dust will accumulate in your electric fan’s covering, if you are in hurry and part of your prom dress needs some air drying, the dust in the fan is not a good idea. The wind that your electric fan creates can blow those dust into the air you and your family breathes. So clean you electric fans often and keep these simple tips in mind.

• Plan the time when you will do the cleaning. If you have kids at home or have someone who are allergy sufferers, you may want to schedule it when they are away to prevent them from inhaling the dust particles.

• Prepare all the materials you will be needing in the process such as dust wipes, vacuum, fan duster, screw removers, damp clothe, water and oil for the motor.

• Wear a mask as you do the cleaning so you will not breathe in the dust particles.

• Detach every thing from the stand first before cleaning each part. Put them in a safe area to avoid any accident.

• Keep the screws in one place so you will not end up with missing parts.

• Work from the insideparts to the outside, starting with the motor.

• Clean each part first before assembling it again.

For best performance, clean your electric fan twice a month or as soon as you see dust starting to accumulate in your fan’s covering.

Practical Tips On Buying Air Conditioner

When we bought our air conditioner unit some weeks ago, I realized there is so much I need to know in terms of Buying Air Conditioner. Here are some Practical Tips On Buying Air Conditioner:

Measure first your room as certain Horsepower can only cool a room of a certain dimension.

Also measure the space in your wall where you will put the air conditioner. It is best to buy the same brand that you used before to prevent you from having to adjust the hole.

Well, of course, consider your budget too.

Ask around, as always in case of buying, asking around helps a lot. And in one of my research I learned that most appliances use the same technology that when it comes to choosing what is the best air conditioner, you just need to consider the value your money is getting.

I am still not an expert in buying appliances but I am learning.

What Is Mist Cooling?

In a few government buildings I have been, I noticed that most are using Mist Cooling instead of air conditioning, although I noticed too that they don’t use it when there are expensive electronics in the area like hp printers. Is it cheaper? And is Mist Cooling more effective than air conditioning?

The technology behind Mist Cooling is creating a fog ultra fine water droplets from water. Specially designed misting nozzle is used here. Contrary to what people believes, Misting won’t make you wet. The fog produced or the water droplets produce are so tiny that it quickly evaporates in the air, making the air cooler.

Mist cooling is used on outdoors and big indoors. This is used in factories, in big establishments where air conditioning would be too expensive and it also used in industrial plants to suppress dusting. So I guess mist cooling is a cheaper way of cooling the air. I cannot say if it is more effective than air conditioning but it is more cheaper.

Are Air Coolers Effective?

Last Summer there has  been a large demand for air coolers. Remember the time where in golds under water gained popularity and almost every one wants to buy metal detectors underwater? The same happened last year, almost every home maker wants their own unit of air cooler. This is a  cooling device that uses dry ice or ice to create or to produce cool air. It is not an electric fan and it also not an air conditioner. even on the appearance, it does not look close to the two mentioned above. It is portable and can be transferred to one place to another easily as it operates on wheels. The usual price of an air cooler is 3500 PhP or higher. Is it effective? I still prefer the use of electric fan as it gives out more air than the air cooler. Or if you use it both, it can give you more cool satisfaction, although when it comes to energy efficiency, I don’t know much electricity air coolers consumes.

How Much Is Inverter Aircon?

While loooking for Air condiotioner unti last week, I had the chance to research how much inverter aircon is. I learned that so far, almost all inverter air conditioners are split type and there’s no window type yet (save for Kelvinator). The pricing for inverter air conditioner starts at 30,000 PhP for 1 horsepower. The Kelvinator window type inverter aircon is at 40,000 PhP.
