Refrigerator is a basic appliance in every home. It comes in different sizes and kinds. Ours is a two door refrigerator, freezer on top. I don’t think we can live without this appliance since we store a lot of food there.
To keep your refrigerator in good running conditioning and to make it more efficient, it needs to be clean all the time. Here are some practical tips in cleaning your ref.
- Always make sure to keep the ref organized and less clutter. Throw away food that can no longer be consumed. Use containers with lid when storing food. Also always wrap your food to keep it from dripping.
- Make sure to clean the ref at least once a week. Wipe food drippings and as much as possible wipe the inside as well as the outside of the ref.
- Once a month, clean your ref thoroughly. Turn it off for half a day and start unloading your food. That’s the most basic when cleaning the ref. Do not soap the interior but wipe it with a clean damp cloth.
- After cleaning the ref, make sure that everything is dry, turn on the ref and don’t put the food inside. Let it rest for an hour or two before putting your food back.
A clean refrigerator is also good for your food as it will not encourage the growth of bacteria which maybe the cause of food spoiling.
