A lot of people briefly (all too briefly) consider getting a conservatory added to the back of their home, but quickly decide it’s not the right thing for them for whatever reason, be it balking at the initial cost of setting one up, the possible complications of actually getting it built or just deciding they don’t think it’s necessary.
So if you are thinking of adding a conservatory, wait a second before deciding against it. Ask yourself the question – is a conservatory right for you?
If you don’t have the answer straight away, there’s no need to worry: we are here to help you with that answer.
Is a Conservatory Right for You?
Okay okay, we’re not finished yet. But to put it bluntly, our short answer is definitely a yes. Here are our reasons.
It’s a Good Investment
A conservative can indeed be a costly investment – you’re looking at spending somewhere in the region of £10,000. But it is just that: an investment.
Recent surveys among property experts have revealed that, especially in the current, less than perfect economic climate, a conservatory is likely to give a much greater return on the money spent than an extension would.
So if you’re thinking of selling your property at some point in the future and are hoping to increase its going rate for a comparatively small outlay, a conservatory is the perfect solution.
It Adds Space to Your Home
There are a number of reasons you might want to expand your home – you might have simply run out of storage space, for example, or maybe you want an extra room so the kids have some more space to play. Whatever your reason, a conservatory can fulfil its purpose more than adequately.
As another advantage over getting an extension, conservatories tend to be hugely cheaper to get built, so you won’t have to pay as much to get that extra breathing room.
It’s Perfect for the Summer
Easily the best reason for getting a conservatory added to your home – you can enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of indoors. Soak up the sun and admire your garden whilst you do the crossword, or host a small party in there!
Why not use the conservatory as a dining room? This works especially well in the summer months, when it is still light and warm in the evening. You can eat your dinner together while being able to enjoy a spectacular sunset panorama, or just sit there and relax in the wonderful ambience as the stars come out.
In all, we believe that a conservatory is definitely worth the price you pay, so if you’re thinking about it it’s time to get off the fence! As long as you have the funds and the space in your garden, we say go for it!
